Phang Nga is located on the Andaman coast and offers amazing beaches and clear water. The best months to visit Phang Nga are from November until April, when water is at its most immaculate and the beaches at their whitest. During the rainy season, several hotels in Phang Nga close down, along with restaurants and other businesses, leaving the atmosphere quite dull. It is worth staying at one of the hotels in Phang Nga to experience both its onshore and offshore attractions. Not too far offshore are the Similan Islands Marine National Parks and the Surin Islands, which are prime diving destinations. Famously known for being the set to a James Bond movie, this area boasts picturesque water, pristine sand and huge jagged limestone rocks and cliffs. A great way to explore the area is by kayak or boat. Having a hotel in Phang Na for several days is ideal in order to explore all its attractions, such as the numerous waterfalls, bays and fishing villages.
