Introduction to Phang Nga - Bor Saen
Phang Nga's Bor Saen is a charming village set among the mountains of the Phang Nga region of southern Thailand. Bor Saen hotels are limited in number. However, if visitors decide to stay here, they will be spoilt with things to do. The village has a mix of Buddhist and Islamic influences, but it is the local scenery that is the main attraction. It is possible to go on a trek around the surrounding countryside, where the visitor will be led across rice fields and over mountains to tribal villages. Arranging a canoe tour through the lagoons in Phang Nga National Park is also possible. Phung Chang cave, accessible both on foot and by boat, is a popular attraction. A limited number of visitors are permitted to enter the cave per day to prevent damage to its interior. Flying to Phuket and then getting a bus to Phang Nga is the quickest way to get to Bor Saen.
