Introduction to Krabi - Nopparat Thara Beach
Nopparat Thara Beach is a secluded getaway situated just next door to the bigger and busier resort of Ao Nang 18kms west of Krabi, Thailand. Although development has spread to the point that it is sometimes hard to determine where Ao Nang ends and where Nopparat Thara Beach starts, Nopparat Thara Beach remains the quieter of the two beaches. Casuarina trees provide the shady backdrop to the three kilometre long beach, whose main beach road is the location of most Nopparat Thara Beach hotels. Small boutique resorts, many of which contain their own spas, form the majority of the accommodation. Aside from the beach itself, the other attractions are a couple of bars, several seafood restaurants, and a small arena which regularly hosts Muay Thai boxing matches. When tides are low, visitors can walk to a nearby island called Koh Kao Pak Klong, which is a popular picnic spot among locals.Visit our Krabi Travel Guide
