Introduction to Krabi - Ao Nammao
Ao Nammao is a beautiful beach which extends from the so-called Shell Fossil Beach to southern Ao Nang. To reach this destination, catch a boat from Ao Nang. Boats also provide access to Railey East. This area has hardly been developed and it offers an escape from the crowds of tourists at Krabi's more popular beaches in peak season. Inland there are residential villa developments and shop houses along the main road, which connects the region with Ao Nang. The beach provides a tranquil environment where visitors can relax and enjoy nature. If you want to go shopping, you can drive to Ao Nang, which is only a five minute drive away by car. A must-see attraction is the Outdoor Aquarium where there is a 750 metre walkway where you can view a variety of fish species such as angel fish and clown fish. Other marine creatures here include hawksbill turtles and seahorses. The centre also functions as a breeding place for endangered species of fish to promote conservation.
