Introduction to Korat - Pak Chong
Pak Chong is situated in the western region of Thailand and is part of Nakhon Ratchasima Province, otherwise known as Korat. This gateway to Isan is a good starting point for visitors who want to take a trip to the Sankambeng mountain range. Khao Yai, a large national park in the south of the district that is teeming with wildlife, is worth a visit. This is an ideal outing for the entire family and it is possible to take a picnic for lunch. The Takhong River originates from the park and is the main water resource for the district. Pak Chong is accessible via road as it is serviced by Mittraphap Road. The northeastern railway crosses the district, making it easy to reach the area by train. Pak Chong hotels offer visitors a peaceful night's sleep before they head out sightseeing. In the vicinity are restaurants which have menus selling local cuisine such as Thai curries or noodles. Thai cooking courses are also available so that when your vacation is over you can still enjoy Thai dishes.other spellings: pak chonghotels, hotelin pakchong, puk chong otel, pag chong hote, pak chong korat
