Introduction to Koh Samui - Maenam Beach
Famous for its beaches, shopping, nightlife and laid-back lifestyle, Thailand's island of Koh Samui is a popular destination among tourists from all over the world and makes far a fantastic vacation getaway. Along the north coast of the island is the stunning Maenam Beach, which is known for its white-sand beach which is lined with coconut trees. The sunsets here are outstanding. The main reason for visiting this beach is to chill out and relax, and many visitors stay here to get away from the crowds on some of Koh Samui's busier beaches. The beach itself has a few restaurants and beach bars as well as plenty of Maenam Beach hotels to choose from. Maenam is close to Samui Airport as well as Bo Phut village, a lovely former fisherman's village that makes for a great daytrip.
