Introduction to Koh Phi Phi - Laem Tong Beach
Laem Tong Beach is one of the quieter locations on the scenic island of Koh Phi Phi. Given the beach's quiet and secluded location in the far north of the island, Laem Tong Beach hotels tend to be aimed at the upmarket traveller, with prices to match. From the beach, guests can see three of Koh Phi Phi's best islands for snorkelling, reachable by long-tail boat; Hin Klang, Mosquito Island and Bamboo Island. In addition, windsurfing equipment is available to hire at the resort. In the evening, nightlife tends to be low key. However, there are one or two worthwhile beer gardens as well as some excellent barbecue restaurants. Most travellers get here by taking one of the many daily ferries from Phuket or Krabi.
