Introduction to Koh Pha Ngan - Yao Beach
Famed as one of the most picturesque stretches of sand on Koh Pha Ngan, Yao Beach can be found in the west. This is a great place to practise water sports such as scuba diving and snorkelling, while a large number of Yao Beach hotels can be found here and cater particularly to those who enjoy the finer things in life. A good number of bars and restaurants line Yao Beach, meaning that visitors who want to spend the day soaking up the sun on the sand never have to go far in search of refreshment. While the island's party capital is in the south, special beach parties are held here at regular intervals, and many of the bars and pubs pump out the latest tunes until the early hours of the morning, especially on weekends at the height of the tourist season.
