Introduction to Koh Chang - Kai Bae Beach
The island of Koh Chang, which translates as Elephant Island, is situated in eastern Thailand close to the country’s border with Cambodia. There is no airport on the island. The nearest one is in Trat on the mainland. Koh Chang can be reached by bus, then ferry, from Bangkok. The island’s relative inaccessibility means it has not been spoilt by mass tourism.
