Introduction to Koh Chang - Bangbao Beach
On the southern end of Thailand's lovely holiday island of Koh Chang is Bangbao Beach: a place of astounding natural beauty and a less-crowded alternative to the island's busier spots to the north and west. The beach is just south and east of the town itself, which serves as a launch pad for most of Koh Chang's diving, snorkelling and island-hopping operations. A very nice but somewhat limited selection of Bangbao Beach hotels and resorts sit on or adjacent to the two main portions of the shore, referred to as Haad Sai Noi and Kong Goi, both of which are great for swimming and boast excellent views of the outlying islands as well as giving a generous helping of peace and quiet.
