Introduction to Khao Lak - Pakarang Beach
Thailand is renowned for sun-drenched holiday destinations, among them Khao Lak Pakarang Beach. Situated to the north of Phuket, this jewel of a beach is not at all like other famous beach destinations in Thailand. It is quiet compared to Phuket’s sand traps, more family-friendly, and generally more expensive on average. This is why most of the hotels in Khao Lak Pakarang Beach are among the more breathtaking accommodation choices available. The shimmering Andaman Sea hugs this stunning stretch of sand, attracting many thousands of tourists to its exciting coral gardens, tantalising turquoise waters, and lazy beachfronts. There are several other attractions to see close to the beach, including Tukuapa Old Town, Lampi Waterfall, and Lam Ru National Park. The area was hit hard by the 2004 tsunami, and memorials can be seen throughout the town.
