Introduction to Ayutthaya - Riverside
This old city of Thailand is a great place to visit on a tour of the country, especially if interested in the ancient history of old Siam. Ayutthaya was once the commercial capital of Asia, and although much of the old centre can only be viewed in part and as ruins, it provides a fascinating insight into the ancient Kingdom. There’s a huge range of Ayutthaya hotels to choose from. Riverside locations are popular, and those close to the ancient city are also favourites amongst the travelling visitors. There are commercial and convention style Ayutthaya hotels available if visitors are keen on a place with full facilities. In the old capital the remains of the city are skirted by the river. One good way to get around is by hiring a bicycle and most of the hotels in Ayutthaya can arrange this.
