Introduction to Ayutthaya, Thailand
A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Ayutthaya is a well-known historical city in Thailand situated near Bangkok. It offers rich history and unique architecture. Although the area is mostly in ruins, it is still a beautiful sight to see complete with the beautiful Chao Praya River and large grassland. Hotels in Ayutthaya allow visitors to spend the night and witness where King Rama V built European styled palace structures, at the Bang Pa-In summer Palace. Ayutthaya hotels are reasonable and there are a variety of accommodations available here for different groups of people. The hotels in Ayutthaya tend to be great for backpackers and guesthouses are commonly found down Soi Torgorsor, not too far from the old city. Though not as common, nicer quality accommodations are available for tourists as well. The old city of Ayutthaya and its temples can be witnessed by walking, though hot weather may be intolerable for some.
