Introduction to Wanli - City Centre
Wanli is situated along the sea coast of northern Taiwan. It is renowned for its rock formations such as Cape Yeliu Miocene, which has remarkable hoodoo outcrops. A national icon is the Queen's Head outcrop, which is a trademark for the district. To the north of Wanli, visitors will find Jinshan district and to the east, Anle and Qidu. Visitors can travel inland from the city centre to discover forests and mountains where it is possible to go hiking. Mountain Military Museum is an important military cemetery six miles from the centre with views of the city and Keelung Harbor. Dahu Park is nine miles from the centre while Yangmingshan National Park is also nearby. This is one of the eight national parks in the country and a popular attraction because of its cherry blossoms and hot springs. Other nearby sites includes hiking trails and an extinct volcano.
