Famous for housing Taiwan’s international airport, the city of Taoyuan is located in the northeastern region of the island nation. It usually takes about half an hour to travel from Taoyuan to the capital of Taiwan, Taipei. This means visitors staying in the city of Taoyuan can make daytrips to Taipei easily. Taoyuan city centre is the busiest part of the city, and although there aren’t any popular attractions or landmarks to lure tourists, it contains a number of alluring shopping malls. Hotels in Taoyuan are mostly situated around these shopping malls and other commercial places in the centre. With Taoyuan being an industrial city, there are several business orientated services in Taoyuan.
