Introduction to Damascus - Airport
Situated in the capital of Syria, the Damascus Airport is a large international facility that can be found some 20kms to the east of the city centre. It is located upon a major highway and sits close to the Al Ghuzlaniyah district of the Syrian capital. The airport played host to more than five million people just last year, and is the main airport serving the entire nation of Syria. Damascus Airport hotels are quite stylish and luxurious, located at the terminal of the airport and just beyond it. Several duty-free shops are available at the terminal, not to mention coffee shops, restaurants and even a passenger lounge (at a price). Private bus companies offer rides to and from the airport, and the taxis service from the airport is also quite popular.
