February Festivals
ZuriCarneval: held in February, this is one of the most popular festivals in the city, where the people dress up in colourful costumes and party around Zurich. Guggen music is a special feature of the event. April Festivals
Sechselauten: Zurich’s traditional spring festival held every April celebrates the end of winter with a lively parade through the city and plenty of colourful costumes. The event ends with a firework display and burning of the Boogg to celebrate the start of spring. August Festivals
Zurich Street Parade: this August event is Zurich’s biggest street party, with three days of revelling, great costumes and techno music pumping out onto the streets of the city. Theatrespektakel: this theatre festival brings avant-garde theatre from across the globe to the theatres of Zurich as well as lakeside venues on Mythenquai every August. Zurich International Film Festival: taking place in September, the Zurich International Film Festival showcases a range of local and international films, on varying themes. |
