Nightlife

Nightlife in Geneva
Located to the southwest of the Old Town is the Plaine de Plainpalais, a diamond shaped circus ground where you will find some of the city’s liveliest bars and clubs. The University of Geneva is also in the vicinity so you will find the bars here very popular with local students.
The area surrounding place du Bourg, location of the city’s Town Hall, is also a good place to head at night. Geneva has a decent gay scene with a number of gay-friendly bars and clubs, but don’t expect the vibrancy of a London or New York. Bars in Geneva usually close at about 02:00.
If you haven’t spent all your money shopping, or you want to recoup what you have spent, you’ll find a number of casinos in the city.
