Getting There

Getting to Bern
By air: although the Berne Belp International airport is relatively small, there are direct flights to several European cities including London, Berlin, Paris, Amsterdam, Munich, Brussels and Vienna. The airport is located six miles southeast of Berne and there are taxis and an airport bus for the short connection.
By rail: the Swiss rail network is one of the best and most efficient in the world, offering services to national and international destinations. Bern lies on the route of three high-speed trains and Paris can be reached in just 5 hours.
By bus: long distance buses make travelling to Switzerland an economical option. Eurolines is the largest operator and has a service direct to Bern. The Swiss postal buses operate between most towns in the country.
