Zic Zac Rock Hotel - Zurich

This is a hotel for the young and the young at heart. It is not luxurious, but is fun and friendly, and will suit anyone who doesn't want to let their low budget get in the way of staying right at the centre of the action.

The rooms are all names after different pop and rock stars and each room is decorated differently with pictures of the named artistes on the walls. The building itself is old so the rooms vary considerably in size and shape, but all have new-ish furniture and wild colour schemes. The rooms do not have private facilities, but most have their own basin. There are shared showers on each floor. both the rooms themselves and the shared showers are in fair condition and though clean they are undeniably basic.

The hotel does not have its own restaurant, but downstairs is the famous Zic Zac bar/club where tasty American-style food is served until late.

The lobby is up on the first floor. It is small but welcoming with a colour scheme as cheerful as the hotels youthful staff.
