Albula district's Wiesen, in Switzerland's Graubunden canton, sits along the Davos loop that is best accessed from Chur. Schweizer National Park lies to the east on the border with Italy. Mostly, visitors come to this mountainous region for the fine alpine backdrops and the abundant outdoor activities. Ski resorts dot the area, springing into action during the cold, snowy winter months, while the warm summers are conductive to hiking.
