Overlooking the Rhone Valley, the municipality of Veysonnaz in Switzerland's Valais is a winter sports-lover's paradise. Home the one of the biggest ski resorts in the Valaisan Alps, Les 4 Vallees, the community primarily serves as a base for skiers. The so-called Path of the Bear (Piste de l'Ours), host to Alpine Ski World Cup competitions, is here, along with numerous other world-class ski spots. Most recently, this trail has hosted the Swiss Alpine Ski Championships and the Snowboard World Cup.
