Introduction to Stein am Rhein, Switzerland
The medieval town of Stein am Rhein in Switzerland is a charming place to stay. The Monastery of St Georg is considered to be one of the most well-preserved medieval monasteries in the world, and construction of this beautiful Swiss heritage building was completed in the 15th century. The Lindwurm Museum has artefacts that detail the history of the town and the way of life of its inhabitants. Hohenklingen Castle was constructed in 1225 and looks out over the town from a cliff. There is a museum inside the castle with well-preserved armoury and stained glass windows. There are superb views over Stein am Rhein from the castle's tower.
