Introduction to St Moritz - Champfer
Located three kilometres southwest of St Moritz, Champfer is a charming Swiss village that is most famous for its farmhouse restaurant which has been recognised by the Michelin Guide. The village was once home to a convent, which has now been converted into one of the best known Champfer hotels. Its most famous historical site is the Church San Rochus, which dates back to the 1520s. Travellers can get here by flying to Engadin Airport and completing the 10km journey by road. There are regular flights here from airports such as Milan, Geneva and Munich. Given the distance of the village from the centre of St Moritz, many guests prefer to rent a vehicle while staying here, allowing them to make the most of the surrounding areas. The nearest skiing area is Corvatsch, accessible by gondola from Via San Gian. This gondola lift is a four-minute drive from Champfer. Located to the north of St Moritz, Corviglia Mountain is a popular spot for summer hiking and just six kilometres from the village centre. other spellings: champferhotels, chamfer otel, chempfer hotell, champher hote, hotle in champfer
