The small town of Sent is a mountain village located in the southern region of Switzerland, just a few kilometres from the Swiss-Italian border in the canton of Graubunden. The town only contains about 900 people, and visitors will certainly feel the charm of the town's 'smallness' upon arrival. Even though the town may be small, there are still several Sent hotels available for tourists. Most of the visitors to the village come for its close proximity to local ski fields. Skiing, snowboarding and snow tobogganing are the main activities for tourists to enjoy during the winter months and the cooler periods of the year. When warm weather drops in on the village, tourists can take advantage of the excellent biking and hiking opportunities that arise. The township is also the home to the ruins of St Peters Chapel, which was constructed way back in the 12th century. The town is only a kilometre from Highway 27, meaning travellers are within easy reach of other picturesque villages connected by this roadway.
