Introduction to San Nazzaro, Switzerland
A tiny town of less than 700 people on the eastern banks of Lake Maggiore in central Switzerland, San Nazzaro is an attractive draw for tourists. While the town's population has not even doubled since 1591, this is still a bustling destination in summer due to the influx of tourists. There are almost as many inhabited buildings as there are full-time residents, meaning that there are plenty of places to rest weary feet amid tours of the meandering Swiss lake system located halfway between Munich to the north and Milan to the south. There are three San Nazzaro hotels with a combined 184 beds so accommodation here is far from plentiful despite the attractiveness of the town.
