The former town of Rohr is actually now a suburb within the city of Aarau, in the northern Switzerland canton of Aargau. There are only about 5,000 people residing in the town, and the suburb is surrounded by various other municipalities, including Auenstein, Rupperswill and Buchs. The town rests halfway between two stations - Rupperswill Station to the east and Aarau Central Station to the west. Nevertheless, it is possible to reach the suburb via car or bus as it rests upon the Hauptstrasse, a major roadway running along the banks of the River Aare. Rohr hotels are available, and are generally located along the main road passing through the suburb. The suburb doesn't boast many interesting sights, but there are some fascinating landmarks in the surrounding area. The regional Nature Museum is located about three kilometres to the west of central Rohr. Another popular site within minutes of the centre is Aargau Art Museum.
