Oberageri is a village municipality of around 5,400 people in Switzerland's Zug region.

It has a rich and long history; the first church was built here in 876 AD.

However, the village is most famous for the 1315 Battle of Morgarten, a fierce and barbaric fight between Swiss Confederation forces and Austrian soldiers who were fighting for the Holy Roman Empire.

Nowadays, guests staying here can visit a memorial to this battle.

The village sits on the northern shore of Lake Ageri, which hosts scenic boat trips during the summer months.
