Introduction to Munchwilen, Switzerland
Munchwilen is a village and municipality located in the Thurgau region of Switzerland. The areas around the village are mostly noted for their industrial history. However, there is one main historical attraction which has been given National Heritage status. The small St Margarethen Chapel is located around a mile north of the centre and is renowned for its beautiful interior. The main village centre is dominated by its distinctive courthouse. The village is situated between Frauenfeld, the capital of Thurgau, and the city of Wil. There are regular trains to Munchwilen from both of these cities. The train station is on Wilerstrasse, which is one of the main roads through the village. There are shops and restaurants here as well as on the streets further north which lead to Weinfelderstrasse. More importantly, the village is just a couple of minutes from the A1 motorway. As such, Munchwilen hotels are useful for travellers looking to stop off on their way to St Gallen from the west of Switzerland. other spellings: numchwilenhotels, mumchwilen otel, munchwilne hotell, munchwieln hote, numchwilen
