Montreux Rue du Lac is located just 20kms from the Swiss Riviera and is one of the most famous hiking sites in the world. Situated right on Lake Geneva, Montreux hotels boast spectacular views. Getting around is easy and travellers can ride the Montreux-Oberland-Bernois, which is one of Switzerland’s oldest narrow gauge railways. During the famous jazz festival that takes place here every year, a jazz train runs from Montreux to Gstaad and jazz bands play live music in three carriages during the journey.
