Introduction to Gsteig, Switzerland
The village of Gsteig in Saane Valley in Switzerland is set amid some of the country's most beautiful scenery. The village is famed for its classic 16th century Swiss architecture, which makes it the quintessential Swiss village. The village is the perfect place to stay in the region and there are plenty of Gsteig hotels scattered around the village as well as excellent restaurants serving Swiss-style dishes. Not far from Gseig lies the Glacier 3000 ski resort. This part of the world is graced with the longest ski slope in Switzerland at a length of 10kms. The views from the summit are absolutely spectacular, and it is possible to see Mount Blanc and the Matterhorn from here. Husky tours are a popular activity in the region, and it is also possible to go cross country skiing and hiking amid the stunning scenery.
