Introduction to Geneva - Les Delices
Geneva, a world city, is the second-most populated settlement in stunning Switzerland. Right in the heart of the city lies the district of Les Delices, which sits on the northern banks of the Rhone. This district, one of the more central neighbourhoods of the Peace City, contains a wonderful array of attractions. Abundant Les Delices hotels are situated close to the area’s many restaurants, shopping malls and cafes. The number one landmark in the district is the Museum of Voltaire, which is housed in the former home of the French philosopher Francois Voltaire. There are many more attractions to the south of the district, including the world renowned watchmaker museum of Patek Philippe and the Ethnography Museum. Don’t overlook the Bastions Park area to the east of these museums, where a wall commemorating the city’s Protestant founders is situated.
