Introduction to Flumserberg, Switzerland
The gateway to a large ski resort close to the city of Zurich, Flumserberg in St Gallen is among the best Alpine ski resorts in Switzerland. Offering skiing, snowboarding, tobogganing and excellent cross-country skiing, this is a town that draws thousands of winter sports enthusiasts from Zurich, the surrounding area and abroad. There are also non-skiing related activities here too, such as ten-pin bowling and even outdoor fondue. The best time to come here is during the November to April ski season when the place is busy but there is plenty to keep visitors occupied. For those that want to take in the beautiful scenery at a more sedate pace, the area also offers miles of scenic walks that come into their own in the warmer summer months.
