Europaischer Hof Hotel Europe - Engelberg

The Europaischer Hof Hotel Europe enjoyed a long and eventful history. The establishment was known as a summer resort, before becoming a popular winter destination for its winter sports. It has health resort gardens, which is converted into an ice skating rink during winter. The building features an Art Nouveau style, and rooms are individually decorated in order to exude that feeling of luxury. There’s a Finnish sauna and sanarium as well as conference facilities and a good restaurant.

The restaurant is located just off the lobby and is another high-ceilinged, elegant room. Huge windows make for a pleasantly airy atmosphere.

The large lobby is very grand and elegant with a high ceiling with intricate mouldings and graceful pillars. There is limited seating. The reception desk is, by contrast, rather small.

The building itself is quite impressive with a pale yellow and white facade. It appears very grand from outside.
