The Swiss municipality of Delley Portalban is composed of two towns, Delley and Portalban, merged in January 2005 to create the new area. Set in Fribourg canton's Broye district, the municipality lies close to Neuchatel Lake on its southern shore, and is home to just under 900 residents. Founded in the medieval era, the town belonged to the church for several hundreds of years, with agriculture, small industry and tourism mainstays nowadays.
