Introduction to Bonaduz, Switzerland
Bonaduz is a small town in the Imboden district of the canton of Graubunden, in Switzerland. The town has a population of less than 3,000 inhabitants and has been experiencing a population growth rate of nearly 12 per cent over that last decade. It is located towards the east of the country, not far from the border with Austria. The focus here is the square, around which the closely-knit town sits. The nearest big city is Zurich, which is to the northwest of Bonaduz and can be reached on the E43 in around an hour's drive. The town has a small train station which is served twice every hour by S8 trains from Landquart to the north, terminating in Rhazuns, less than a kilometre south of Bonaduz, and the S9 service from Chur, which continues on to Thusis.
