Introduction to Arosa, Switzerland
Arosa municipality, located in eastern Switzerland's Plessur district, Graubunden canton, is popular for laid-back summers as well as festive winters with skiing. Sherlock Holmes series author Sir Arthur Conan Doyle enjoyed holidaying here in the 1890s and made it very much the thing to be done by Britons in the know. Arosa features more than 60kms of slopes. A great way to get up them is by cable car, which makes going uphill almost has fun as shooting down on skis. Indeed, the local economy revolves around making tourists happy. Arosa is found at the end of the scenic Schanfigg Valley, at a height of around 1,800 metres. Due to its location, it's very sunny and the winds here are gentle. Moreover, the valley leads to the presence of pure mountain air, and since 1877 Arosa has been a well-known Alpine health resort. The area is also ideal for summertime hiking. There are many Arosa hotels to choose from.other spellings: aroashotels, otelin arsoa, aorsa hotell, raosa hote, arosa hotes
