Hellsten Hotel - Stockholm

This hotel is without doubt one of the best boutique hotels in Stockholm. However it could very easily be labeled as hip or designer, but what stands out is the individuality and exceptional attention to detail both in the level of friendliness from the fantastic staff to the unique standard of the rooms.

The rooms are all individually designed to reflect their natural advantages. Bold colours and textiles give many rooms a romantic but aesthetically pleasing environment in which to relax and unwind. All have modern facilities such as TV's, broadband internet and irons. The bathrooms are stunning and in excellent condition with black Greek imported slate tiling the walls and under-floor heating providing the luxurious feel.

No restaurant is available but breakfast is served in a glass conservatory to the rear of the building. A cozy bar, with dark wood and black and white photographs, often hosts local jazz artists in the evenings.

A small lobby with rugged wooden flooring, it provides a warm and friendly welcome to a spectacular hotel. Adjoining the entrance hall is a seating area of with fashionable leather chairs and tables, although plans are for this to become an exclusive lounge bar.

The building dates from 1898, and offers a traditional Stockholm Town House exterior of stone and grand windows overlooking a narrow street.
