Introduction to Mbabane, Swaziland
As Mbabane, the capital city of Swaziland in southern Africa, it is surprising that there is not more choice when it comes to hotels in Mbabane. If you are travelling around the tiny country on a shoe-string, you will probably find all you need here, however, as the lodgings do offer some of the cheapest rates in the country. You will find some good backpacker lodges around the train station with enough facilities to keep most people happy. For those looking for more upmarket properties, there are also rooms available in the city with pleasant en-suit bathrooms and tasteful decor. They also come with satellite television and air conditioning. You will of course have to pay a little bit more for these rooms than for those with shared bathrooms. The district itself is fairly small, despite being the capital, and those staying at the housings will find no big tourist attractions here.
