Mount Lavinia is a relatively new city to the south of Sri Lanka’s largest city, Colombo. The city is popular with tourists and has become a well known beach resort since its creation. Aside from its excellent beaches, the city also houses Sri Lanka’s National Zoological gardens, which are known to be some of the finest in Asia.
