Beach: a visit to one of Valencia’s stunning beaches will guarantee sun, golden sand, crystal clear water and relaxation. The beaches stretch north and south of the city’s port with the south’s beaches generally offering cleaner waters.
The most popular beaches include Malvarrosa Beach, a good beautiful beach towards the north of the city; Pineda Beach, a central beach with good access for the disabled and Saler Beach which is commonly regarded as Valencia’s best beach, found to the south of the city.
Course: if you want to escape the beach for a day or two, the city is home to some excellent golf courses. Campo de Golf El Saler is one of Spain’s most popular golf courses, offering putting time to non-members as well. Other popular sports include football, where you can watch FC Valencia take on other Spanish league clubs and bull fighting, the traditional, yet somewhat brutal, Spanish tradition.
Nightlife: after a day of soaking up the sun or partaking in a sporting activity, sample Valencia’s nightlife. There are three main areas where both locals and visitors head to for an evening’s entertainment: the Malvarrosa beach port area, where you will find a number of top bars, Placa Honduras, the newer part of town close to the university which offers lively student bars and Paseo de Neptuno, which can be found by the beach and offers countless restaurants and bars for people of all ages, tastes and budgets.
