There are frequent flights to Madrid, as well as a regular Air Shuttle service to Las Palmas on Gran Canaria which takes just 20 minutes. Los Rodeos in the north of the island is a one terminal airport and there are good facilities.
There are a number of retail outlets selling souvenirs and local sweets as well as a Timberland and Levi store. There is also a newsagent and bank. There are a range of eateries with fast food establishments, restaurants and cafes. The airport is wheelchair accessible and assistance is provided for any passengers who require it to board the plane.
The airport has the usual facilities with banks, ATMs and a post office, as well as a decent selection of restaurants, cafes and bars. The range of shops here includes souvenir shops, newsagents and a florist, as well as tourist information, a chapel and a medical centre.
For business passengers, there are some business facilities on the second floor in the departure area. Reina Sofia is wheelchair accessible throughout with lifts to the upper level and assistance on hand to board the aircraft.
From Santa Cruz, there are buses to other destinations around the island. There are plenty of taxis and shuttles located outside the terminal building. By car the airport is reached by the TF-5 motorway.
If you are driving to Reina Sofia airport from Santa Cruz, take the TF1 for about 60kms; the airport is well signposted. There are plenty of buses from the airport serving the bus station in Santa Cruz (on La Avenida Maritima), Los Rodeos Airport and Los Cristianos, among other destinations across the island. There are also dozens of taxis available here, and the journey to Santa Cruz takes about 60 minutes.
At Reina Sofia airport, there is one car park which covers both long-term and short-term parking options. The car park is close to the bus and taxi stops, just across from the terminal building, with a capacity of over 1,000 cars. For dropping off there are 58 spaces which allow free parking for up to 15 minutes.
