If you are looking for a relaxed evening, the area around the cathedral is home to a number of cafes and bars and offers an excellent atmosphere in which to catch up with a friend over a bottle of wine.

If however you are looking for something a bit more upbeat, the streets in the Plaza de Armas neighbourhood offer a great selection of late night bars, although the real party-gœers head for Betis and Alfalfa streets. In the summer, the traditional pubs and trendy bars by the river fill up. Many are open-air and offer a stunning setting for cooling off with an ice cold bottle of San Miguel.
