Catedral de Sevilla and Giralda Tower: this is Europe’s third-largest church and the largest Gothic building in the world. The cathedral is believed to house the remains of Christopher Columbus and is brimming with fine works of art such as its stunning 15th century stained glass windows and intricately detailed choir stalls.
Maria Luisa Park: Maria Luisa is one of Seville’s largest parks, covering an impressive 400,000 square metres. It was originally built as gardens for the San Telmo Palace, but was soon turned into public gardens. You will find a number of opportunities to relax and take in the scenery. If you would rather stay active, there are footpaths and exercise trails to follow.
At the canal next to the building, you can rent rowboats or you can walk across one f the bridges that span the water. You will find a number of tile murals around the grounds which focus on the features of Spain's 50 provinces.
Isla Magica: located in the Isla de la Cartuja area, Isla Magica is an exhilarating theme park which offers rides and attractions for all ages. The park boasts a 16th century Spanish colonial adventure theme and features a rollercoaster, various other rides and multimedia and musical shows. The park is split into different sections which include ‘Port of the Indies’, ‘Quetzal, Fury of the Gods’ and ‘Gateway to the Americas’.
Flower-filled balconies overlook the maze of alleys which offer shade from the afternoon sun. In the evening, it's very common to see locals sitting outside drinking sangria and partaking in animated discussions.
Plaza de Toros de la Maestranza: this is the oldest bullring in whole of Spain, built between 1761 and 1881. Guided tours of the facility are available and an on-site museum boasts artefacts from different periods of the sport’s history.
