Beach: the lengthy promenade is near to the town centre and houses many cafes and restaurants to relax in. Playa de la Fontanilla is the most popular beach in Marbella and is crammed with deck chairs and sunshades. There are several bars where you can relax and have a cold beer while taking in the beach life. Other facilities include showers, toilets and a lifeguard service.
Parque de la Alameda: the lovely Parque de la Alameda is a popular recreational spot for locals and visitors alike. It's full of tropical flowers and exotic flora and fauna. It's also noted for containing half a dozen statues by the artist Salvador Dali, while in the centre there is a large fountain surrounded by ceramic benches.
