Getting Around

Getting Around Madrid
Bus: Madrid’s public bus service operates an extensive network which covers a large proportion of the city. Buses run from 06:00 until to midnight and most services begin from and terminate at Estacion Sur de Autobuses. Beyond midnight, night services known as buhos are in operation, however services are relatively infrequent and tend not to adhere rigidly to any timetables.
Metro: Madrid’s Metro system is the fastest and most efficient means of getting around the city with the majority of popular destinations covered by its stations. Services operate from 06:00 to 01:30 and visitors planning to use the service for more than two days can buy 10 trip tickets from any Metro station. The airport is served by a Metro station which is located at Terminal 2.
