Granada Travel Guide

Activities

Activities in Granada
Winter sport: skiing and snowboarding can be enjoyed for a good five months of the year at the Solynieves ski resort in Pradollano in the Sierra Nevada mountain range. Snow cannons are on hand to support Mother Nature if the season’s snowmaking conditions have been a little slack. Pradollano can be reached in just 45 minutes from the city of Granada.
Walking/hiking: the same mountains that are used for the pursuit of winter sports lend themselves well to walking and hiking during the summer months. Visitors looking to escape the heat of the city, get some clean air in their lungs and immerse themselves in some pleasant scenery and lush green flora, can head for the Sierra Nevada mountains where either a pleasant walk or a serious hike can be pursued, depending upon how energetic you are feeling.
Sightseeing: days can easily be filled by seeing the city’s most popular sights which includes museums, interesting landmarks, unique monuments and fascinating buildings. A simple walking tour of the city provides a plethora of fascinating sights and gives visitors a good introduction to the character of the city.
