Festividad de San Sebastian: is held to honour Lord Wellington's capture of the city of San Sebastian from French troops in 1812. The whole town dresses up in period costume and there are parties all night long.

April Festivals
Moros y Cristianos: is celebrated in Alcoy, Alicante. During this festival, mock battles are staged between the Moors and Christians to remind people of the history of this great country.

La Feria de Abril: is held in Seville approximately two weeks after the Easter celebrations. The festival is one of Spain’s biggest annual parties with millions of people attending the celebrations. Tents are set up at the far side of the Rio Guadalquivir and each tent offers something special. Expect to have lots of rowdy fun.
Fiesta de los Patios: the partying continues during this festival where the primary aim is to find the city's most attractive flower covered patio.

La Romeria del Rocio: is a pilgrimage which millions of people participate in each year. Pilgrims walk, ride on horses or are pulled in carriages to the shrine of the Virgin at El Rocio in Huelva. The festival is not well known outside Spain but, can be an incredible event to witness.

International Festival of Music and Dance: is held in Granada in various places including the setting of Granada's Alhambra, the Generalife Gardens, monasteries and the cathedral. Performances include ballet, modern dancing, music from symphony orchestras to small classical ensembles, from jazz to world music and much more.
