Cordoba Travel Guide - Activities

Festival: Cordoba is well-known for its festivals and there are a large number held during the months of June, July and August. Feria de Cordoba is held in the last week in May and is a huge fair of drinking, dancing and eating. Carnival is held just before Lent, when groups of singers called chirigotas and comparsas parade round the streets. A competition is held in the Grand Theatre in which the groups sing their best comic songs.
Hammam Arabic Bath: there is no better way to relax than a visit to the Hammam Arabic Baths in the old quarter of Cordoba. Here you can relive one of the more civilised pastimes of the Andalusi heritage by experiencing the hot and cold baths together with a relaxing massage from trained masseurs.
As the car passes by any point of interest within 100 meters, the 8 inch screen displays the name and offers further information in a choice of Spanish, English or French. Through the touch screen, the visitor can then access audios, videos and 19th and 20th century pictures.
