Getting Around

Getting Around Barcelona
Metro: travelling by metro is often the quickest and most convenient way to get around in Barcelona. The network comprises five different lines stopping at destinations throughout the city. For multiple journeys, a T10 ticket is available for 10 rides on any combination of city transport, as long as the journeys are undertaken within a 100 minute period.
Train: the rail service in Barcelona is predominantly used by commuters and residents living further out. There are regular local services travelling from all points of the city. Travel is excellent value for money and trains are comfortable and clean.
Taxi: taxis are found in abundance across the city. While they are not too expensive, tourists who are new to the city can occasionally get ripped off, so always ensure that the meter is being used. While they are good for getting around some areas, the Barri Gotic quarter is much easier by foot.
